Some gorgeous examples of clothing from the time of the Titanic - illustrating the less structured and more streamlined silhouette.
All these are part of the Olive Matthews collection at Chertsey Museum.
A set of "Combinations" - undergarments, and a swimming costume, with optional modesty skirt.
A pair of culottes which can be converted quickly into a skirt to avoid censure from less modern attitudes!
