Annual Meeting and Bring & Buy November 2021
We began our November meeting with a sobering talk from Fiamma Pather, CEO of Your Sanctuary, the local women's refuge we have been supporting over the last year. Fiamma described the work of the charity, which includes managing two refuges catering for a total of over 30 families, and community outreach services providing support for women, children and also some men, who have experienced domestic abuse.
Then after a review of the last year, and voting for the committee, it was on to the serious business of our Bring and Buy sale, which raised £275 for charity.
As well as good quality pre-loved items, we also had stalls selling original art-work, delectable home preserves, Christmas cards in aid of Kat Can Do, and a every ticket's a winner tombola in aid of Macmillan.
