Camberley WI member Clare Wong described how her nursing career has progressed over the years to reach her current role in the community.  She described the daily challenges facing parents of children with tracheostomies and on ventilators, and the work that she and her team do in supporting them.

Clare is donating her speakers fee to Surrey Special Needs Ski and Outdoor Learning.  It is an organisation that organises an annual ski trip for around 90 children from Special Schools in Surrey and Clare has had the pleasure of accompanying them in the past as one of three nurses that they take with them.  Sadly due to COVID they had to cancel the most recent trip but fingers crossed for the next one!
